Multivariable Control Systems, Spring 2013


Course Description

This course uses computer-aided design methodologies for synthesis of multivariable feedback control systems. Topics covered include: performance and robustness trade-offs; realizations for MIMO systems; model-based compensators; Q-parameterization; characteristic loci compensators; dynamic decoupling; dynamic augmentation; linear-quadratic optimization of controllers; H2 and H-infinity controller design. The assignments for the course comprise of computer-aided (MATLAB®) design problems.
